Customizing your store colors and fonts

Your colors and fonts set the look of your storefront. You change them in the customizer, which shows a live preview of your site as you edit. Open it from Customize › Storefront › Customize.

Open the customizer

Go to Customize › Storefront › Customize. The settings panel opens on the left and your live storefront on the right. To go straight to type, use Customize › Storefront › Fonts.

Colors

Open Theme Colors and set:

  • Primary color. Drives buttons and accents across the site.

  • Primary button text color. The text shown on those buttons.

  • Primary color hover. The color buttons and links use on hover.

  • Header background and Footer background.

  • Light or Dark base theme.

Fonts

Open Theme Fonts and set:

  • Body font. Paragraphs and general text.

  • Primary font. Headings, H1 through H5.

  • Secondary font. Buttons and smaller elements.

Preview and publish

Watch the live preview update as you make changes. When you are happy with the result, click Publish to make it live.

Tip

Stick to one or two fonts and a single accent color. Too many styles make a store look busy and harder to read.
