I cannot log in to my admin

You are stuck on the login screen, getting a wrong password error, a 2FA loop, or the page just keeps reloading. Work through these in order.

1. Confirm you are using the right URL

Your admin login is at yourdomain.com/admin/. If you bookmarked a different URL, redirects may break.

2. Reset your password

If "incorrect password" keeps showing:

  1. Click Lost your password? under the login form.

  2. Enter your username or email.

  3. Check your inbox (and spam) for the reset email.

  4. Click the link, set a new password, and log in again.

If the reset email never arrives, the email on your account may be wrong or out of date. Skip to step 5.

3. Stuck on the two factor code

If you enabled 2FA and lost your phone or are getting "invalid code":

  • Make sure your phone clock is set to automatic time (drift breaks the codes).

  • Try a recovery code instead. Click the recovery option on the 2FA screen and enter one of the codes you saved when you set 2FA up.

  • If you do not have recovery codes, skip to step 5.

4. Try incognito and a different browser

A bad cookie or browser extension can break login. Open yourdomain.com/admin/ in an incognito window or a different browser. If it works there, clear cookies for your domain in your main browser and try again.

5. Account is locked or the email is wrong

If you cannot get a password reset email, do not have a recovery code, and incognito does not help, you need a human to unlock the account.

Ask another admin on your team to:

  1. Go to Users › All Users.

  2. Open your user and reset your password manually.

  3. Confirm the email on file is correct so the next reset can reach you.

If you are the only admin, message us from any other channel (the chat bubble on this help center, your phone, or the team's shared support email). We can verify your identity and unlock you.

6. Once you are back in

Two things to do right away:

  1. Generate new 2FA recovery codes in Help › Users › Profile › Two-Factor Options. Save them somewhere safe (password manager, printed and locked away).

  2. Confirm your email on file is current in Profile › Contact info. Future password resets depend on it.

See Securing your account for the full setup.
